Factory Scan Preparation
Project Overview
The project consists of reviewing, cleaning up, and technically preparing a point cloud dataset provided by the client. The goal is to transform raw data into a clean, structured digital foundation for three main objectives:

  • Accurate visualization of the scanned real-world environment.
  • Precise support for the implementation of new layouts.
  • Preliminary analysis for equipment placement.
Technical Process
  • Phase 1: Visual Cleanup (Noise Reduction): Eliminating "noise" and irrelevant elements from the original scan, leaving only the necessary structures visible for the project.

  • Phase 2: Autodesk Inventor Integration: Integrating the processed environment into Autodesk Inventor to serve as an absolute spatial reference, allowing the design of new conveyors directly on top of the existing reality.

  • Technical Scope: Includes initial file verification, dataset organization to optimize software performance, and the creation of base files ready to use as templates.
Structure

The project is divided into two distinct blocks to streamline digital navigation:


  • Ground Floor (lower area of the facility).
  • Upper Floor (upper level of the industrial complex).

Final Deliverable: The cleaned-up point cloud dataset organized by phases.
